Questions
Who builds the coops you sell?
Every coop on WalkInCoops.com names its builder on the product page. Our current lineup is built by The Hen House Collection, Amish craftsmen in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. We are an independent retailer, so we can compare coops side by side and help you pick the right one.
Is delivery included in the price?
Yes. The price you see includes delivery and placement in your yard for the lower 48 states. Prices vary by region, so pick your state on any coop page to see your delivered price. We confirm the final price for your ZIP code before you pay anything.
Do the coops arrive assembled?
Yes. These coops are delivered fully assembled on a trailer and placed where you want them, as long as the delivery truck can safely reach the spot. There is no kit to put together.
How long does it take to get my coop?
Coops are built to order. Typical lead time is 6 to 8 weeks from order to delivery. We confirm your build slot within one business day of your order.
Who will call me about delivery?
The builder's delivery team calls you directly to schedule your delivery day. Their name is on your order confirmation, so you'll know who's calling.
Do I need to prepare the site?
You'll want a level spot with good drainage and clear access for a truck and trailer. A gravel pad or level concrete blocks are common. Check any local rules or HOA requirements before your coop arrives.
What does walk-in mean?
A walk-in coop is tall enough for an adult to step inside and stand up. That makes cleaning, collecting eggs and caring for your flock far easier than crouching at a small hatch.
How many chickens can each coop hold?
Each product page lists the builder's recommended flock size. Use our coop size calculator if you want to check the space per bird yourself.
When do I pay?
Placing an order request is free. We confirm your exact delivered price and build slot first, then send you a secure payment link. Your coop goes into the build queue once payment is complete.
